Delivered by an expert trainer, the bespoke session will get you up-to-speed with the latest version of VOiCE and help you to use this powerful tool to support your engagement activity.

VOiCE is a planning and recording secure software solution that assists individuals, organisations and partnerships to design and deliver effective community engagement. Now redeveloped in 2021, the tool has been used for over 12 years to support practitioners to have the very best experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating community engagement.

The software is essential for individuals and organisations that want to:

  • Demonstrate the quality of your engagement process to funders.

  • Develop and share plans with partners that meet your engagement purpose.

  • Monitor progress in engaging with the community.

  • Evaluate the quality of your engagement.

  • Learn lessons for future engagement activity.

Why community engagement matters

Community empowerment and better community engagement remains one of the priorities for governments in the UK and across the globe. As we seek to ‘Build Back Better’ governments are particularly keen to ensure local communities, agencies, voluntary sector organisations and statutory services work together to ensure good quality engagement that reaches those less-heard voices.

Good community engagement is not an outcome, but is intended to lead to better democratic participation, greater inclusion, better services and better outcomes for communities.
